Last updated: October 8, 2026 · Compliant with the principles of Quebec's Law 25 and the GDPR (EU).

    1. Who is responsible?

AutoMissed is a service operated on behalf of the professionals (garages, tradespeople, etc.) who use the platform. When a prospect fills in the form after a missed call, the data is passed on to the professional concerned, who acts as the data controller for this customer information. AutoMissed acts as a technical provider (processor / service provider) to host and route this data.

    2. What data do we collect?

    • Prospects: phone number (incoming call), name (optional), answers to the business's form (for example the vehicle for a garage), description of the request, callback preference, and the associated consent and timestamp / IP address.
    • Professionals (AutoMissed customers): account email, business name, configured phone numbers, alert preferences, billing data through Stripe.

    3. Purposes

    • Allow the professional to call a customer back after a missed call (transactional follow-up text message + form).
    • Alert the professional (by email and/or text message) of a new lead.
    • Manage the account, the subscription and support.
    • Respect text message opt-out requests (STOP reply) and legal obligations.
    • If the professional turns it on, produce a summary and a suggested urgency for each lead (see section 8).

    4. Text messages after a missed call

When a prospect calls the configured business number and the call does not result in a conversation, AutoMissed sends a follow-up text message with a link to a form. This message follows an initiative by the prospect (an incoming call) and aims to complete their request. It includes an opt-out notice (STOP). No marketing text messages are sent outside this context.

Frequency: up to one message per missed call. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every other category of sharing described here and will not be shared with any third party.

    5. Retention

Leads and missed calls are kept for as long as the business account is active, then for a reasonable period needed for support and legal obligations (in principle up to 24 months after the last activity, unless otherwise required). Text message opt-outs are kept to prevent any message from being sent again.

    6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (Quebec's Law 25, GDPR), you may request access to, rectification of, deletion of, or restriction of the processing of your personal data. Prospects can also reply STOP to a text message to stop receiving messages.

To exercise your rights: first contact the professional who received your request, or write to contact@automissed.com.

    7. Technical subcontractors

Hosting and database (Supabase), voice/text message communications (Twilio Inc.), transactional emails (Resend), payments (Stripe), application hosting (Vercel), anti-bot protection for forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), lead summaries, only if the professional turns it on (Anthropic) and, only with your consent, audience measurement (PostHog). These providers process data only to deliver the service; some process it outside Quebec.

    8. Lead summaries

If you turn on lead summaries in your settings, AutoMissed sends Anthropic (Claude) your trade, the type of request, the description the person wrote, and the text replies they send. The customer's phone number, name, address and email are not sent as fields. In free text, phone numbers, emails and postal codes are masked before sending; a name or street address written out in full may still be sent. Businesses whose reason for contact can be health information (clinics, veterinary practices) are excluded: none of their data is sent. Anthropic acts as a subcontractor to produce a one-sentence summary and a suggested urgency. This processing takes place outside Quebec, including in the United States. The feature is off by default; you turn it on yourself, and you can turn it off at any time. Without that choice, no lead content is sent to Anthropic.

    9. Cookies and audience measurement

Some cookies are strictly necessary: your login session, anti-bot protection for forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) and remembering your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off and are not used to profile you.

The others are off by default and are only turned on with your consent: audience measurement (PostHog), which tells us which pages and which steps of the service are used, without name or contact details, and any advertising tags, none of which are used to date. Your choice is kept for 12 months, and you can change it or withdraw your consent at any time.

    10. Contact
